Shop Foreman
Craig joined the Bigstone team in June of 2021! Craig brings his positive attitude and awesome sense of humor to the team. In his spare time Craig loves to fish, golf and play sports. His hidden talent is he can eat 28 hot dogs in 10 minutes. How and why he found that out? We will never be entirely sure…
Technical Quality Advisor
Thomas began at Bigstone in November of 2009! He is our Journeyman Cabinet Maker. When he isn’t spending time outside shooting, quading or biking, he enjoys playing video games and watching movies!
Owner
Gerald started Bigstone Custom Cabinets in 1990 with his wife Tracy by his side! Gerald has a hobby farm with about 65-80 Ewe’s that lamb each spring! Aside from running the business, Gerald enjoys welding and building from metal. He also has a share in a fishing cabin north of Fort McMurray, though Gerald says that he enjoys the quading more than the fishing…
Co-Owner & Purchaser
Tracy and Gerald founded Bigstone Custom Cabinets in 1990! Before becoming our co-owner, Tracy used to work as a Dental Assistant! Tracy is quite the world traveler and has been to seven different countries and every province except the North West Territories. In her spare time, Tracy enjoys driving tractors with farm implements and spending time with her grandchildren.
Scheduling
Eduard has been with the Bigstone team since September 2018! Originally from Germany, Eduard relocated to Manitoba where he spent eight years in the cabinet industry. Eduard looks forward to spending time with his wife and two children. He is outdoorsy at heart; spending time in nature, hunting and making projects for his wife. Eduard is also the king of funny emails.
Bookkeeper
Karen has been our Bookkeeper since December of 2019! Karen has completed her Management Certificate and Payroll Certification! Though she has many years of experience she is always eager to learn more! Karen has a handful of hobbies that include reading, knitting and camping!
Administrative Assistant
Megan has been our Administrative Assistant since September of 2021! Megan comes from a Human Resources background and is new to the cabinet industry. Megan worked as a Starbucks barista for 10 years, so she considers herself an expert in the art of coffee and customer service. When Megan is not in the office she is baking for her loved ones or volunteering with a local animal rescue.
Designer
Monica has been with Bigstone since 2007! She graduated from NAIT’s Interior Design program in 2005. Monica is our go-to for all office and design questions. She is grateful to her husband who stays home with their two children so she can continue working on her career. Her top priority is ensuring each customer has a positive experience while working with us !
Wood Parts
Bart has been with Bigstone Custom Cabinets since 2005! He is a proud uncle and will conquer you in a game of poker! Bart has a keen interest in Taxidermy (he will most likely show you pictures too!) and is a die-hard Toronto Raptors fan and all things Raptors collector!

Shop Installer
Dan has worked at Bigstone since March 2021. He likes cars, rock music and comics. He is also a big Oilers fan. He loves camping and being outdoors and he also has a very large collection of Build a Bear teddies.
Assembly
Douglas was brought on in October 2020! Douglas is quite the creative and has a variety of hobbies… he writes stories and is learning to sculpt with clay. When he isn’t in the creative zone, he loves to play Paintball!
Labourer
Sixteen years ago, Ed joined the Bigstone team! He is absolutely phenomenal with numbers and enjoys mixed farming! He has three dogs and loves watching TV. One thing you’ll quickly learn about Ed is that he has a great sense of humor!
Finishing Sander
Emma has been with us at Bigstone since March 2021! She is outdoorsy and loves camping, gardening and her horses. Emma is a great addition to our team!
Painter
We welcomed Maria to the team in September of 2017! She is a kind soul who loves to craft, bake and spend time with her amazing daughter! We always admire Maria’s sense of style and how her clothes always remain sawdust free despite having the sandiest job!
Labourer
Matt H. is another long standing team member here at Bigstone, he has been with us since January 2008! Matt loves a good steak, the video game Doom and his all time favorite movie? The Terminator 1984. Classic.
Head of Assembly
Matt is another one of our long standing employees – he joined Bigstone in February 2005! When he isn’t busy in our shop, he spends his free time wood working and growing hot peppers! He says “the hotter the better!” Matt takes pride in keeping quality his highest objective.
CNC Operator
Mel is one of our talented CNC Operators! He started with us in December 2019. Mel takes a special interest in attending Bunnock tournaments and camping. When Mel isn’t working in his own shop, he is busy tending to his fish aquariums!
Labourer
Nick joined the Bigstone team in June of 2022! Nick loves to fish, spend time with his kids and basically just all things outdoors. Nick is a helpful member of the Bigstone team and we are very happy to have him here!
